I never thought I would be so happy about a house in Cincinnati. But, here we are. I have been a long time fan of design genius, Brian Patrick Flynn. He might be my favorite designer and is tasked with designing the giveaway homes for HGTV. The newest HGTV urban oasis home in Cincinnati is absolutely stunning.
This bring back a sense of nostalgia for me. As you might know, Cincinnati is my home town. The area this house is in is called Hyde Park. It’s a stunning area with old homes with lots of history and also where I lived during my senior year of college. It might be my favorite area of Cincinnati. It’s so crazy to see something from my favorite designer in a setting I’m very familiar with.
I think that’s how you can really showcase true talent. When you see these gorgeous images online, you might think they are out of reach and your place could never look like that because of (insert various reasons). But, when you see a home in a neighborhood you used to live in, that is so stunningly renovated, it should inspire you to do the same. Your home could be this home. And this time, I mean it quite literally because you can enter to win this HGTV Urban Oasis Home.
The HGTV Urban Oasis Home in Cincinnati is Gorgeous
I enter to win all the HGTV Dream Homes and Urban Oasis Homes, and even though I don’t desire to move back to Cincinnati, I think I’m going to enter to win this home as well. I mean, why not? So, without further adieu, let’s take a the grand tour of this stunner in Cincinnati!

How about that curb appeal?? Brian Patrick Flynn can do no wrong, in my opinion, and truly excels at creating absolutely gorgeous exteriors with so much character. I love the color of this home and I wish there were “before” pictures to compare. I bet it was an incredible transformation.

Brian is a master when it comes to creating lively spaces. His ability to mix color, neutrals, pattern, and texture is second to none. All of his work is gorgeous, none of it is “too loud”. He strikes the perfect balance between interest and livability. The talent on this guy is insane.
Garage

The HGTV urban oasis home is full of unexpected design elements. Brian’s attention to detail and understanding of space makes this home so special. The fact that he transformed this detached garage into an entertaining area is so, so special. He is so gifted at making outdoor spaces lively and livable; no space is ever wasted.
Parlor

Pattern mixing is one of my favorite talents in other designers. Brian’s mixing of pattern is on par with uber famous Miles Redd. I loveeee a blue living room.

How do you feel about the teal in the HGTV urban oasis home? I love it. I think it is perfectly complemented by the warm wood and leather. Brian uses a lot of color in his designs but expertly tones the color down with plenty of interesting neutrals. None of his spaces ever feel overdone, including this warm and inviting kitchen. I’m also thrilled he didn’t install a marble counter…we know how I feel about marble in the kitchen!
Dining Room

Traditional fixtures with modern touches for the win, right? I love this table; it’s an updated version of the classic Saarinen table. This is such a cute little dining area. I also have the same rug in my kitchen but orange instead of green. Does that make me famous? If you go through the images on HGTV, they show you which items on Overstock they purchased. So you can literally have some of this home decor. HUZZAH!
Living Room
Truly, one of my favorite things about Brian is his appreciate for artists. He commissions so many pieces of art for himself as well as the houses he designs. This piece is by one of my favorite artists, Blayne Art. Blayne does a lot of art for his projects (lucky her!) including a commission for Brian’s epic wedding in Antarctica. Blayne exhibits at Ann Irwin Gallery and you can see more of what she’s up to on her instagram.

This family room is just so fun. I love the mid century table, the yellow accents and colorful features. It’s bright and colorful and a perfect accent to the teal kitchen.

The HGTV urban oasis home is so full of color, texture, pattern, and LIFE. Each room is strikingly different from the next, yet they all somehow get along in one cohesive and marvelous home (that I want to live in). So much thought goes into these designs and Brian never disappoints with these giveaway homes. Someone is going to be so happy to live here.

Yup, those are blue lacquered walls. AND I’M DYING FOR THEM. The art, too. Good gracious, it’s all so good.

Brian and I share a love of black iron doors and windows. I love the use of them as a shower enclosure. SO modern and chic, but also styled with a country blue makes it something that even a traditional family would love. Black and white is a classic choice that will definitely be a crowd pleaser. And check out those mid century sconces.

I looooove me some shades of green. In my opinion, green is so versatile. It can vary in hue and be soft and calm or powerful and bold. I’m loving the pattern of this tile; from a distance it looks like it could be cement tile, but I’m guessing it’s stone.
So, what do you think of the HGTV urban oasis home? If you live in Cincinnati, definitely register to win this beautiful home. And if you’re not in Cincinnati, maybe consider moving there for the sole purpose of living in this house. I hope one of us wins.

What is the name of the house color? Where can I find it?
Thanks for your question, Colleen! HGTV has paints at Sherwin Williams so the colors they use will almost always be from there. The gray exterior is “Gilbraltar”, red door is “Heartthrob” and the pale blue porch ceiling is “Reflecting Pool” (all by Sherwin Williams). Beautiful color palette, right?
