You probably know Athena Calderone from her famed food and lifestyle blog, Eyeswoon. She is known as taste maker and her home shows just that. Her townhouse is actually in my dream Brooklyn neighborhood, Cobble Hill. The area is so beautiful and family friendly, perfect for a forever home. Athena has a really awesome story. She is the perfect example of a self made mom! After she had her child, like most moms, she found herself at the mercy of her child’s schedule and “trapped” at home. Athena used her creativity to create the blog Eyeswoon, a truly wonderful lifestyle and food blog that is both aspirational and accessible. Basically, she posts all things swoon-worthy.

Athena calls this media room “the sexiest room in the house”. She said she went with a different design scheme with this room and strayed from the neutrals in the rest of the home. The sofa is bespoke and it looks like the chair is vintage–how great is the fringe! I especially love the modern art.

What I love about this home is the architectural furniture. It’s incredible. Every piece is so unique and has a really seamless shape. The attention to detail in this home is incredible. I mean check out that table and chair pairing! Athena Calderone’s Brooklyn townhouse is full of so many unique design moments.

This is my favorite room of the house. The kitchen is fantastic. Athena said that she chose to forego a pendant over the island in favor of tall seasonal branches. NYC is known for the flower markets that are everywhere, and buying seasonal foliage is a highlight of most after work activities.

This space was designed with ample natural light, as Athena does a lot of food photography. My dream kitchen is actually a solarium like she has, so this space is so dreamy for me.

This neutral palette is the quintessential brownstone style. It’s so light and airy with accents of black and natural wood. Can we talk about those herringbone floors? Athena Calderone’s Brooklyn townhouse would be my dream home.

I really like the platform bed design in this bedroom; it’s so Scandinavian and modern. The light flooring is glorious and what’s great about this is all the storage is hidden. The room is modern and minimalist; a different style than the rest of the house because of the Nordic vibes.

What do you think about Athena Calderone’s Brooklyn townhouse? Amazing right? I am especially loving the outdoor flooring. It reminds me of Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent’s California home. I am a sucker for cool flooring and details. So much love went into this space and it shows. It’s so warm and cozy but also neutral and minimal. Athena Calderone’s Brooklyn townhouse strikes the perfect balance between modern style and a classic aesthetic. It’s all so perfect.
