My new favorite thing is following the renovations of BLOGGERS. Oh my goodness; these ladies are so talented! It’s very refreshing to see a space transformed in an attainable way with DIYs. Last week, these amazing ladies revealed their final “primp and pamper” bathrooms, and today, I’m sharing their colorful bathroom remodels (with sources)!

Jewel Marlowe started it all. She reached out to other bloggers and asked if they had a bathroom in need of some love. So this group of daring ladies decided it would be more fun to do the renovation together over the course of a month.

How fun! Don’t you love how the internet brings people together from all parts of the country with a common goal? It’s the the best. So, here is your line up of colorful bathroom remodels:

7 Bloggers’ Colorful Bathroom Remodels

1. Jewel Marlowe

I love Jewel and I’ve let you know a million times. I love her pairing of elegance and fun, classicism and quirk, pattern and play. A whimsically hilarious way to compare her style is to that of a super cool Roman emperor who also goes to raves. She’s all business and all fun, all at the same time.

Her bathroom remodel was the powder room and this is where she started:

If you watched Jewel’s instastories, you would have seen her demo. This girl can get her hands dirty, ya’ll! After ripping out the toilet, she knew the floor had to go, because, well, ewwww. Once you see things, you can’t unsee them, right?

So this power player made the last minute call to head to Lowe’s for flooring options. She went with a dramatic black marble hex that is just divine. With the wallpaper, it’s the perfect combination of whimsy and mystery. What do you think?

2. PMQ for Two

First of all, Ariel had me with the Hygge & West wallpaper. H&W is my absolute favorite wallpaper vendor; their mix of pattern and color is divine. Ariel knocked it out of the park and gave us one of the most colorful bathroom remodels with so much energy!

Not only that, she redid this bathroom while pregnant! You go, girl! Ariel said that this badroom, err I mean bathroom, needed some major reworking. So, they just took a sledge hammer to it and voila! Now it’s magic.

You might not know this about me, but there is a very large spot in my heart for penny tile. I love it. It is so classic and I love the sense of history (even if it’s a new install). My dream NYC bathroom has black and white penny or hex tile. SWOON.

I love how Ariel paired a vibrant wallcovering with a classic black and white motif. The globe sconces and vintage mirror make this a modern marvel while having some deeply rooted design history. And that art? Come on. It’s all amazing.

3. House Homemade

Next up is…Jessica from House Homemade! Jessica decided to give her precious little ladies a delightful space of their own. This is one of the colorful bathroom remodels that is more subdued and serene, but still absolutely perfect. You know how much I love a calming bathroom, ya’ll.

I love the tall wainscotting and the arched mirror is just too gorgeous. I adore adding curved elements to a geometric space because it just softens the look. This was a great design decision since a lot of visual weight and geometry was added with the two free standing vanities. The end result is soft and beautiful.

Girrrrrrrrrrrl. I’m in heaven. Scallop tile is one of my favorite silhouettes and it’s no secret I love blue. This is one of the funnest colorful bathroom remodels.

I also love Camila’s creativity. She used literal curtains as a shower curtain! This is a great idea if you want to do the whole fancy curtain tie back style, which, by the way, is just so chic.

Usually, I’m not an advocate of renovating your vintage bathroom, but realistically, that avocado tub can be a little difficult to live with while remaining happy. No one wants a tub that can remind you of pureed baby food and that shade of green can be difficult to style because it is sooo specific.

Out of all the colorful bathroom remodels, this one might be the most dramatic makeover. It goes from dark, dreary, and dated, to a summer paradise with flora and fauna. It’s such a mood lifter! Doesn’t this palette just make you happy?

5. Rain on a Tin Roof

Let’s play “spot the DIY”. Can you guess which one it is? I’ll give you a hint…it’s a step up from other DIYs (pathetic pun intended). You guessed it; it’s the step stool! How fun is that?

Jenna graciously gives us this DIY (linked below). It would be a perfect project to do with a little one so they can customize their own stool! I’m a big fan of transforming what you have, so I’m thrilled to have an easy DIY project included in this reno.

This bathroom turned out beautifully. I am a sucker for pattern play (duh) and vintage style accents (yeah, we know), so this design just works for me. I’m not a huge fan of dark colors, though, because I feel they lower moods, but, paired with fun patterns and bright accents, it’s not moody in the least and is still energetic and vibrant!

6. Haneen’s Haven

Do you see anything familiar? Yes, the same art piece as PMQ for Two! If two people use it, you know it’s good. Vintage style portraits are in and fabulous and are a great way to add so much personality. One of my favorite parts of this space is actually an often overlooked detail…paint finish.

I love the glossiness of this paint. Sometimes, when using a deeper color on the walls, it can look cavernous if you don’t choose a finish that reflects light. This finish was an absolutely perfect choice, especially paired with the window in the space. It bounces light around revealing every special detail.

Haneen gives us this vintage inspired gem and I am HERE FOR IT. The character portraits, globe sconces, dark floral fabric, console sink…like, I’m having trouble picking a favorite because everything blends so seamlessly. She packed so much personality into a small space. And again, dark colors that aren’t cavernous and depressing. Well done!

7. Kaleidoscope Living

Let’s talk…WALL MURALS! I am a huge fan of hand painted wall murals and am a frequent visitor of jaw dropping Banyan Bridges IG. I love that Tasha was inspired by a print from Minted and used it to pay homage to the artist with a mural. What a great idea that I hope the original artist sees!

A couple weeks back, I did a post on refined minimalism. You might think that refined minimalist interiors are “boring” or lacking details. But, this is one of the colorful bathroom remodels that mixes bright hues, pattern, and texture. Boring? Not in the least.

This is the most minimalist reno of the bunch, but still very special and thoughtful. In my refined minimalism post, I explained how to properly do a minimalist interior; and this is it.

Thoughtfully curate each material, give each choice something special (like that chevron wood detail on the vanity), and pair with lots of negative space so each element can stand on its own. This is beautifully done and is literal art.

What do you think about the 2019 bathroom primp and pamper? So much inspiration, right? I am a tile lover and have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to tiles, so bathroom renovations are a favorite of mine.

I also love colorful bathroom remodels because people typically tend to design with abandon. These spaces are small and aren’t used for hours on end, so people tend to throw a little quirk and personality (two of my favorite things) into the space. Every single makeover in this series is a design gem!
