We are going into fall and there’s a lot to love in home decor! I’ve said this before, but I love to update my home seasonally. It keeps it fresh and, working from home, it’s important to me to have a really killer environment. Last week, I posted my top picks from the Williams Sonoma Home collection, and this week, I’m sharing must haves from the Goop x CB2 collaboration.
I love collaborations. I loved Reese Whitherspoon’s line with Crate & Barrel and the Design Love Fest collection at Target. Working with others, whether in your industry or not, will always be beneficial. You get a new perspective and get an opportunity to learn about other industries. Target is famous for their fashion collabs with major design houses and it makes my heart sing.
Goop is a beauty/lifestyle brand and I think it’s so cool to have teamed up with CB2, modern home luxury at an affordable price. Goop, led by Gweneth Paltrow, includes everything from exercise tips to recipes to skincare. They are all about holistic wellness. I’ve been a longtime advocate of interior design’s power to boost your mood and spirit. I think it’s about time that others realize how powerful of an effect your environment has on your well being.
Must Haves From the Goop x CB2 Collaboration
This collab with Goop includes both furnishings as well as kitchen necessities. Goop has included some architecturally spectacular furniture and some really calming entertaining pieces. The collection is small but cohesive…and really, really relaxing.
1. Quattro 4 Piece Sectional Sofa
Small space furniture is IN and this modular sofa can be configured to fit your space. It can be a chaise lounge sofa or you can use the pouf as a footrest, cozy coffee table, or additional seating. It’s clean lines and nice seam detail makes it look so luxurious but also uber comfortable…like a giant marshmallow!
2. Curvo Velvet Sofa
I mean, come on. The lines on this are just superb. It’s a sexy sofa and I’m loving the leg detail. Curved sofas are making a comeback in our mid century loving world and I love how this curve isn’t so dramatic; it will still suit your space without creating this weird ‘behind the sofa’ space.
3. Avorio Side Table
The sofa above paired with this small side table is a minimalists dream.
4. Negazione Mirror
How stunning is this 3d mirror? People are wanting more textural and dimensional items for their home decor–I think it’s because of the popularity of wall hangings. This mirror delivers on all accounts. The folks at CB2 styled this vignette to perfection and I’m loving how they showcased this mirror with an architectural fireplace (that probably doesn’t work, like most vintage fireplaces). This collection of must haves from the Goop x CB2 collaboration is really cohesive in that there is architectural repetition.
5. Mod Credenza
Peekaboo! That’s one trend I’ve noticed in credenzas, consoles, kitchens, and offices. People are wanting furniture that isn’t so heavy looking, but they also want to conceal their junk. Enter this credenza with gorgeous legs! You get the semi-transparent detail to lighten up the piece, but no one can see your disorganization. And believe me, we all have disorganized bits we are trying to hide.
6. Curve Ball Match Striker
It’s candle season, ya’ll! How popular would you be busting out this little baby at gatherings and holiday parties? This match striker is lovely and it looks vintage because of the glass detailing. Just gorgeous. I might have to get this one for myself.
So what do you think about my must haves from the Goop x CB2 collaboration? What I love about the collab is that the pieces are super modern yet also showcase mid century elements. The pieces have clean lines and are suitable for most spaces, whatever your style. Even the kitchen items impart a sense of luxury, but at a CB2 price. All in all, I think I’m a fan of this small collection.
