20 Neutral Outdoor Rugs to use Indoors

via House Beautiful

I love outdoor rugs. They are so durable and the color and patterns are fantastic. People are more likely to be daring in their outdoor decor, it seems, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of great neutral options. Yesterday, I told you I use outdoor rugs indoors in two rooms in my home and I’ve never looked back. My rugs have lasted years longer because in 2 spaces, I switched from indoor rugs to outdoor rugs. Today, I’ve rounded up my favorite neutral outdoor rugs to use indoors.

I have outdoor rugs in my kitchen (in front of the sink) and as my bathroom rug. They are durable, stain resistant, and tolerate water. This is especially perfect in a kitchen with frequent spills or in a space with heavy traffic or young children. A lot of outdoor rugs are really colorful with bold patterns, but there are actually a ton of really great neutral rugs that would be perfect for your indoor space. Bonus: these neutral rugs don’t even look like they are outdoor rugs, so you still get the comfort and texture you want in an indoor rug, but also the insane durability of an outdoor rug. Have I convinced you yet? Let me show you my 20 favorite neutral outdoor rugs to use indoors.

What do you think of these neutral outdoor rugs to use indoors? Pretty great right? I especially love the Pottery Barn selection; they are so homey! These neutral rugs will compliment any space and will last you forever. Trust me. I was replacing kitchen sink and bathroom rugs every 6 months it seemed, and I am going on 3 years with my current outdoor rugs in those spaces.  Give it a try and tell me what you think! They are a cinch to clean and I know because I’ve spilled red pasta sauce or curry on my kitchen rug many times and clean it with an all purpose cleaner and a paper towel. No harm, no foul.
