If you’re like me, your sofa gets A LOT of use. I am kind of OCD about the cleanliness of fabric. Carpet grosses me out because of all the accumulated germs. Sure, you can vacuum to your hearts content, but you need something to disinfect. I would prefer that something to not be laden with toxic chemicals and be safe to inhale (so, not your fabric sprays from the store). I much prefer the in between seasons like fall and spring where temperatures aren’t as extreme and the world just seems a little softer. Recently, I became very aware of how much plastic is being used in the world. I realized this when I was thinking about how much I personally use, felt good about it, then opened the fridge and realized that every condiment was in a plastic bottle. Horrified, I went around the apartment looking for plastic I may have missed. Oh, boy was there a lot.
I love outdoor rugs. They are so durable and the color and patterns are fantastic. People are more likely to be daring in their outdoor decor, it seems, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of great neutral options. Yesterday, I told you I use outdoor rugs indoors in two rooms in my home and I’ve never looked back. My rugs have lasted years longer because in 2 spaces, I switched from indoor rugs to outdoor rugs.
