Sarah Sherman Samuel x Lulu & Georgia Collab Favorites

The Sarah Sherman Samuel x Lulu & Georgia rug and pillow collab is right on time for the changing season.

If you’re not familiar, Sarah Sherman Samuel is the genius behind Mandy Moore’s home design as well as her newly finished office design. She is well loved in the design community and an expert at creating modern and warm spaces that are full of texture and interest. Sarah Sherman Samuel x Lulu & Georgia just released a rug and pillow collection, so let me show you my favorites!

This collab features a limited color palette and simple, yet modern patterns and textures. In each style, there are rug and pillow offerings and you could really pick one item from each style to use in the same space and it would all work together.

The shades range from rust to off white with various tans in between, so it’s very neutral and very on trend (helloooooo, terracotta!). Terracotta colors are awesome going into fall because they are the perfect orange-y tan with some warm browns.

I would say that Moroccan rugs influenced Sarah Sherman Samuel in designing her collection, but also a minimal Scandinavian pattern and palette. Traditional Moroccan rugs are heavy on the color and pattern, whereas Sarah’s collection is more restrained and deliberate. Let’s check out my faves!

Pretty good, right? It’s the perfect amount of color and pattern for die hard minimalists, while also appealing to those with boho tendencies. I think the Arches rug and pillows are my favorite; I’m a sucker for monotone texture.

Brady Tolbert, former Emily Henderson team member, has a modern, masculine, and relaxed apartment with boho and mid century touches. See how he styled the rug in his living room.

Make sure you check out my area rug guide I put together to help with deciding what type of rug should go where. Keep in mind the traffic and use of each space, because not all of these offerings will suit every area. You wouldn’t put one of these off white rugs in a mud room, right?

You can check out Sarah’s full collection over at Lulu & Georgia. Currently, if you sign up to receive their marketing promos, you get 10% off (which is great for big ticket items like rugs!).

Here’s a life hack you might not know about: if you visit a site, it stores cookies that you’re not a new visitor, so you might not get the latest pop up deal to, you know, pop up. The way around that is to go to private browsing mode on your phone or computer. This will clear the cookie cache (the only time it’s good to not have cookies), and the latest deal will pop up. Smart, huh?
