Tribal Living Room Mood Board

Neutral spaces can be full of character, texture, and fun. Check out all the sources of this tribal living room mood board!

I missed mood board Monday yesterday because I was sick. Soooo today, I’m sharing a tribal living room mood board from a design I just wrapped yesterday. I am obsessed with this space and am happy to link all the sources for you if you are interested in purchasing for your own homes. FYI, it was designed in just one day!

The last few projects I’ve completed have been designed in just one day! Because of that, I’m going to add another design package to my site that will be for people who know exactly what they want (because those designs can be completed in one day). It will be super fast and super affordable.

That’s what design is supposed to be, in my opinion. Not all this hem hawing around trying to decide. The beauty of my design questionnaire I give to clients is that it allows me to understand exactly what your needs are. By understanding style and needs, I can get you a full design much faster. It’s a win for everyone!

With this design, I was able to do neutral furnishings and add muted patterns where I can, accented with graphic fun art. The space feels really homey and just friendly. I know that the neutral style of Amber Interiors, JDP Interiors, and Katie Hodges Design are supremely popular (and for good reason), but I also like to add a special element through unexpected small touches like a Sarah Sherman Samuel or Brian Patrick Flynn would.

All of the pieces in this design are linked if you’re curious what I used. I did a mixture of high and low end products, which is the perfect blend for your budget. This tribal living room mood board is definitely one of my favorites ever.

My personal design style is casual and colorful; I want spaces to feel elevated, yes, but also really warm and inviting. Making a room look lived in is key to a space that doesn’t feel too “perfect” and editorial. I like to add some fun through playful art and pattern. It’s totally doable to add some life to your space even if you prefer a more neutral palette.

I’ve recently become obsessed with Article furniture. They have some really awesome mid century modern vibes going and the clean lines of their pieces are just perfection. The entire space was designed around this sofa! The repetition of rust, blush, and cream colors, along with plenty of wood (furniture and shiplap) and a statement bronzey coffee table is just too good. But of course, I’m biased because I designed it.
