My favorite color scheme of all time might be black and white. It’s so classic but also so chic and modern. I’ve done a few black and white designs already, but this bathroom was just asking for it. It is an updated and moody take on a classic Victorian style. This vintage and modern black and white bathroom boasts so many moments of luxury. From the claw foot tub, to the Ann Sacks tile, this bathroom is just begging to be enjoyed. Which is what I hope you will do while looking at it!
I think anyone who has the space to do so should add a claw foot tub. They are SO luxurious and add such a cool element to the space. Talk about a focal point! They are a modern look but with a vintage style. It’s the perfect item to add to your space if you want it to tell a story.
Vintage and Modern Black and White Bathroom Items
For the rest of the space, I opted for a mix of vintage and modern. I wanted some really sexy and unique tile to play off the glamour of the tub. For the floor, I went with an Ann Sacks variety designed by the goddess, Kelly Wearstler. This vintage and modern black and white bathroom mixes two styles, vintage and modern, and gives an updated feel to a somewhat depressing Victorian style. I went with a historic matte black scalloped tile by Cle tile for the walls.
My favorite abstract artist is Franz Kline; he specializes in black and white abstract art. Score! Some other modern fixtures with vintage vibes include the globe sconces and chandelier. I wanted the space to feel timeless, but updated. The result is a delightful mix of vintage and modern, so the space feel nostalgic but also cool and sexy. I am obsessed. What do you think?
