Ikea really brought the Scandinavian aesthetic to the states, and since then, it has only grown in popularity. Which is kind of surprising if you think about it. US culture is all about “more more more” and the Scandinavian aesthetic is all about less. Today, I’m going to share with you the 6 best Scandinavian design blogs for all your #homeinspo needs. Maybe we can be minimalists after all?
6 Best Scandinavian Design Blogs
1. My Scandinavian Home
Source
Run by Niki, a London transplant living in Sweden, this blog is delightful. It embodies the traditional Scandinavian minimalism, but, being from London, Niki also brings her own aesthetic to the mix, resulting in a full bodied design explosion. You’ll see what I mean.

Niki is a pro at curating a thoughtful mix of neutrals with pops of color and pattern, for a warmer take on the Scandinavian style. Definitely one of the best Scandinavian design blogs. I mean, how cozy is that living room?!
2. Coco Lapine Design
Source
Sarah is a Belgian designer living in Germany. Her blog is a tribute to interior and graphic design and she shares everything that inspires her along the way. The blog is beautiful and features a balance of high end designs as well as attainable designs for your own home.

Sarah’s images are bright, airy, and modern with a really cool vibe. Her blog is a sea of endless inspiration for your inner minimalist. If you like Sarah’s aesthetic, be sure to check out her print shop.
3. Nordic Design
Source
Nordic Design is the jackpot of all things Scandinavia. From people to travel, this site is your one stop shop for inspiration and a guide to Scandinavian life. It is probably the most expansive site on this list and literally includes everything.
Source
The blog includes a lot of my favorite things, LIKE ROUNDUPS. Who doesn’t love a list of all the best stuff? I think you’re reading one of those lists right now, actually. Anyways, if you want to dive into Nordic culture, this site is your new BFF.
4. Lotta Agaton
Source
This blog is bonkers. In the best way. Lotta is an interior designer and this site will give you waves of delight and inspiration. It’s immaculately curated and features mood boards, projects, furniture, everything. This site definitely earns its ranking as one of the best Scandinavian design blogs.

I mean…come on! Those textiles are fantastic. I’m really loving the blogs that include the other side of Scandinavian design that is not so focused on gray tones. Adding natural woods, neutral textiles, and peppering in some plants is the way to my heart.
5. Hannah in the House
Source
Hannah is a wonderfully talented interior designer, but perhaps the most loved aspect of the blog is its backstory. Hannah has hydrocephalus, which resulted in multiple brain surgeries, forcing her to take a break from working as an interior designer. Frustrated, she figured if she can’t design, she can at least talk about design; and BOOM, a blog was born. Aptly named “Hannah in the House” because due to health issues, she was stuck in the house!

The blog focuses on Scandinavian design, lifestyle, and travel, and boasts expertly chosen product roundups. Follow along with Hannah as she explores Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, and Icelandic design.
6. Happy Interior Blog
Source
If you’re familiar with the uber popular blog, Bright Bazaar, consider Happy Interior Blog its Scandinavian influenced twin. Both Will Taylor of Bright Bazaar and Igor Josifovic have strikingly similar taste and aesthetic. The theme? HAPPY HOMES!
Source
Igor believes in the home’s power to bring about happiness and focuses his blog on interiors, travel, and plants. He has a lot of “how to” posts and really cares about teaching you how to thrive in your space. Igor spends a lot of time blogging about lifestyle and showing you how to tweak your home, with Scandinavian influence, of course.
I hope you enjoyed my 6 best Scandinavian design blogs and are inspired to incorporate some Scandinavian design into your home!
